I’m Chris Cornish. I’m a self-employed financial planner, happily married and the father of two young boys. On the 15th October 2011 the residents of Central Ward in the City of Bayswater voted to have me as their representative on Council.

It is with tremendous pride that I was voted into office. And I would like to thank the residents for their faith in me. I will work hard to represent all of the residents within the City of Bayswater and also to achieve the objectives I set when I started my campaign.

I ran for Council because I believe:

•That we need sound financial management and can’t increase rates so much when economic times are tough and so uncertain
•That we need to preserve parks and provide open space for everyone as our area grows and changes
•That there is not room for petty squabbles on Council and that the City of Bayswater must operate in a coordinated manner with openness, transparency and accountability.
