I grew up looking over the shoulder of my father as his Property Development business expanded over the years, I was completely fascinated with the design on the drawing board transforming into a structure on a vacant block of land. My father’s business knowledge and personal integrity saw him succeed with a flawless reputation in his area of expertise, and I knew my future would involve business, people and property.
My mother was a school teacher when I was young, and one of the most influential in the region. Children loved her, and parents wanted her to teach their kids. Now an advisor for the University of Waikato in New Zealand, my mum still has a reputation I will always aspire too.
After spending over three years as a Marketing Manager for a major tourism company in New Zealand, I decided to go globe-trotting, so I started by jumping the ditch to Australia for my first six months away. Shortly after arriving, I met my ‘now’ fiancé, who stopped me in my travelling tracks, and made me call Australia home, and so I made the decision to start my career in real estate.
Property Management was my birth place in real estate, a challenging area where you have to be tough to survive, however I still believe it is the best way for any real estate person to start their career, as it gives you the time to quietly gain the knowledge required to be successful in the industry, without practising on a vendors asset. From here I stepped into an administration based role as the Manager of RE/MAX Real Estate Specialists, Burleigh Heads, and although this gave me the additional insight into the legalities of sales, my true passions are people, property and marketing, and soon the time became right to move into residential property sales.
Within my first month of sales I had signed off my first two contracts and had two more in negotiation. And using what my parents had taught me: hard work, enthusiasm, honesty and integrity, I soon found success as a real estate agent.
Still loving my career, I have made so many new friends, and created a reputable name for myself in the industry I love, and I can’t wait to work for you!
