The South Australian Legion Cadets Inc is a not for profit, co-ed Infantry Cadet Unit catering for the age groups 9-11 for Juniors, 11-18 for Seniors and 18 + for Adult Members.
We meet Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights from 7:00pm until 9:15pm. Please see our website www.legioncadets.webs.com for Parade locations.
Topics taught include Military Drill, First Aid, Search & Rescue Techniques, Rifle Drill, Navigation, Camouflage & Concealment, Radio Communications, Military Rank Structure, Self Discipline, Teamwork and more. We also hold regular camps.
Fees currently are $40 Annual fee and $3 per week on attendance.
Free “Auscam” camouflage uniforms are issued, consisting of shirt, trousers, jumper, jacket, slouch hat (small fee required), “keppie”. Some own supply is also required (water bottles, back packs, camping equipment etc). A dress polyester uniform is also to be purchased from us (current cost $30).
All Officers & Instructors have current SA Police Clearance Certificates and we have a female chaperone in attendance at all times.
